"In February of this year I underwent surgery at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. He was called on to dress a rather large surgical incision in my leg every other day; he monitored my tube feeding and taught my family how to ensure the feeding was going where it was supposed to go and not into my lungs; he redressed the the incision into my trachea, and taught me how to give myself twice daily anti-clot shots in my belly. He said I reminded him of his own mother, and he was kind, sweet, good natured, and consistently cheerful. There are not enough words to express how happy we were to see him when he arrived.
